The importance of music in our family cannot be emphasized enough!  We all love it.  We are always listening, going to shows (with the kids as often as we can) or having our own mini concerts around the house.  I personally cannot do more than a few cords on the guitar and Mary had a Little Lamb or Hot Cross Buns on the piano....I guess you could say I'm more of a listener, but that's OK.  Both kids seem to have gotten musical talent from their dad and my baby brother, their uncle who is also in this great band!  How lucky are we.  when they aren't in the studio or playing out and about we get these extra special evenings of music filled fun, great food, dancing babies to sleep and a strong feeling of love.

  1. Love the "family affair" shot :-) And that sweet babe! We're string lovers here...when my son was about 15 months old, he became obsessed with Yo Yo Ma. We love the fiddle, too. One day maybe we'll both learn to play. Until then, we're listener's too :-)

  3. I love the idea of a musical family. I think it has a lot going for it. I love the photos of everyone jamin' together. I bought myself a violin a while back, but of course finding time to learn is the issue. Maybe when I don't have a little boy in arms all day, then it just might be possible. He is trying to 'help' me as I type, bless his heart. Jacinta x

  4. Love it. I was raised in a very musical family, and I hope that I can provide a similar experience for my children. Thank you for reminding me to teach them. :)

  6. How awesome that they play!!! I still have my dream of learning the banjo and am secretly hoping and praying my kids find interest is an instrument. Hubs fiddles with the guitar but I am thinking if we play more, they might play more. Is that a good theory? Thanks for the inspiration!!!
