The Last Hoorah

Even though summer doesn't officially end until September 22nd it seems that Labor day weekend is always the last hoorah.  Everyone has a big party, goes camping, takes one last summer vacation etc.  Today we start school, it feels just a little cooler and my thoughts have shifted to apple picking and pumpkin pie.
But what a grand weekend we had!

The boys in Dark Hollow Bottling Company had a couple of gigs up north.  So we packed up the families and made a weekend out of it!  We drove as far north as you can go while still remaining in the country.  The trip was amazing.  A beautiful lake, a cabin, some tents and wonderful friends to celebrate with.  We had good food, good music and of course lots of good company.  What an amazing area of the world to visit and live in...simply breathtaking.
What a way to greet the new season ahead...
Now it's time for some math.
How was your weekend?

  6. What a fun weekend. I love the idea of a cabin at a lake with good company and some music to boot. Water is so scarce in Australia, lakes here seem to be more often empty than full. That's it, I am so going to the East Coast!
