    Oh, this scene plays out about twice a week in our house. My 5 year old loves to make waffles. Hope they tasted as good as they look!

    I love my waffle iron...can't believe I lived without it for so long! Waffle time is ALWAYS a great moment!

    Yum! My son has been asking for a waffle iron but it keeps falling to the bottom of my list. I'm certain that I can find one at the thrift store if I just show up on the right day! ;0
    Do you make batter from scratch too?

      Yes from scratch! There is an excellent recipe in the King Arthur Flour Bakers companion for buttermilk waffles.
